I want a women's Springy Medium Curls: Springy Medium Curls: shoulder-line medium ringlets with crown lift and internal brick-layer debulking plus a soft curly fringe blend. True Springy Medium Curls = shoulder-line medium ringlets with crown lift and internal brick-layer debulking plus a soft curly fringe blend; rounded curl mass lands at the shoulder line with vertical stack and a tidy connected nape, no mid-back curtain.
Springy Medium Curls is a shoulder-length curly cut built around a rounded perimeter, internal brick-layer debulking, and crown lift so medium ringlets spring at the shoulder line instead of flattening into a pyramid. The hero is architectural bounce at shoulder height—readable ringlet spring with a soft curly fringe that blends into the sides—not a corkscrew-only finish, not a diffused cloud halo, and not a mid-back rebound curtain.
Typical finished length after shrinkage lands at the shoulders with a rounded outline. The after look should read salon-finished and curl-first: brick-layer vertical stack, tidy nape, light cream sheen with soft broken cast—not a wet gel helmet and not an ill-defined fluff ball.
Spiral Curls sell sculptural corkscrew shafts with visible coil separation, often reading longer toward the collarbone or upper chest. Springy Medium Curls anchor at the shoulders with brick-layer debulk and crown lift—the spring at shoulder height is the story, not corkscrew geometry alone.
Cloud Curls push soft diffused halo fluff and rounded short-to-medium air volume without insisting on defined shoulder ringlets. Springy Medium Curls keep readable ringlet spring and a rounded shoulder perimeter.
Bouncy Curls often extend into shoulder-to-mid-back elastic rebound columns with open bounce gaps. Springy Medium Curls stop at a shoulder-length rounded map with anti-pyramid vertical stacking—not a longer mid-back bounce curtain.
Versus calling hair simply "3A," that label names a curl type (looser loops). Springy Medium Curls is a wearable cut with brick-layer architecture, crown lift, and a soft curly fringe blend.
Choose it if you have Type 2C–3B texture (or coils planned with shrinkage in mind), want shoulder-level spring without growing to mid-back, and like dry-cut shaping with hydration-focused wash-day styling.
Pause if you want corkscrew shafts as the only hero (ask for Spiral Curls), diffused cloud fluff (Cloud Curls), or a longer mid-back bounce curtain (Bouncy Curls). Pin-straight hair without heat or texture services will struggle to hold shoulder spring.
Oval faces usually wear rounded shoulder spring and soft curly fringe with minimal adjustment. Heart and diamond faces often balance when crown lift adds height and rounded sides soften the jaw without widening the cheeks too much.
Square faces benefit when the rounded perimeter curves near the jaw instead of stacking blunt weight. Oblong faces should keep crown lift moderate so the rounded shoulder width adds balance without over-lengthening the face.
Type 3A–3B is the everyday match: enough spring for shoulder bounce without extreme shrinkage surprises. Type 2C can wear it with diffusing and curl cream when natural pattern is soft. Medium-to-high density shows the rounded brick-layer shape clearly; fine curls need lighter product so the crown stays lifted.
Always plan dry length—wet hair looks longer than the finished shoulder spring. Ask for dry cutting or curl-by-curl shaping when your pattern is mixed.
On soaking-wet or very damp hair, apply leave-in then a lightweight curl cream through mid-lengths and ends. Add a light gel for a soft cast if you want all-day spring. Diffuse on low heat with roots lifted—hover first, then cup sections toward the scalp for crown height. Fully dry before you scrunch out crunch.
Keep heavy oils off the roots if the crown is fine. Midday refresh: mist water or leave-in and redefine face ringlets. Night: loose pineapple or a satin pillowcase so shoulder spring does not crush flat.
Plan a tidy reshape about every 8–12 weeks so the rounded shoulder silhouette and crown lift stay intentional. Bring dry-hair photos that show how low you want ringlets after shrinkage.
Tell your stylist: Springy Medium Curls—shoulder-length rounded perimeter, internal brick-layer debulk, short-to-medium surface crown lift, soft curly fringe blend, point-cut or tapered ends for vertical stack—not Spiral corkscrew hero, not Cloud diffused halo, not Bouncy mid-back rebound.
| Style | How it differs from Springy Medium Curls |
|---|---|
| Spiral Curls | Corkscrew shafts + coil separation hero; often longer visual read |
| Cloud Curls | Soft diffused halo fluff; less defined shoulder ringlet spring |
| Bouncy Curls | Mid-back elastic rebound columns; longer bounce curtain |
| 3A curl type only | Texture label without brick-layer / crown-lift cut architecture |
| Curly Shag | Anti-triangle interior shelves; not rounded shoulder brick-layer spring |
Stay with Springy Medium Curls when you want shoulder-level rounded spring with brick-layer debulk and crown lift. Move to Spiral Curls for corkscrew geometry, Cloud Curls for diffused halo fluff, or Bouncy Curls for a longer mid-back bounce curtain.
Crown lift, how low ringlets land after shrinkage, and how full the shoulder spring sits all change the whole silhouette. A SeeMyCut preview lets you compare a tighter shoulder bounce versus a fuller rounded perimeter, check anti-pyramid risk from the side, and see whether soft curly fringe suits your hairline before you commit.
